I bought this clock as a gift. When I got it the chime mechanismwas loose and swinging around. The screw that was sapposed to hold it in place had broken through the wood. I then got a replacemen and that clock had a whole bunch of other problems!! The box on the back of the clock was not screwed securly to the clock. The screws were stripped right out of the wood in a way that couldn’t be fixed. I returned both clocks for a refund. I thought it was just one clock that had problems but now I know any of these clocks are very poorly put together and not worth a penny!!!!!
I purchased this clock for my vacation house. It came with a crack in the wood. I could live with that, but figuring out the chime business was something else. I LIKE A CLOCK THAT CHIMES ALL THE TIME. I didn’t realize this one doesn’t. I also see that there are now star rating’s on this product which were not there when I ordered. I really appreciate people’s opinion’s and order stuff based on their rating’s. There weren’t any the time I ordered. My clock doesn’t NOT keep good Time at all. I’ve passed the date for return’s or exchanges from Amazon and I can’t get anyone to respond from where it is manufactured. I should of returned it right after I got it and not left it at my vacation house, but I really thought it worked. When I returned to my vacation house I noticed the time was off once again. I thought it was the batteries, so I made sure I purchased new ones. That didn’t help! We shall see if the manufacture responds to fix my problem.
THE CLOCK RUNS OK BUT IT DOESN’T CHIME AT THE CORRECT TIME ON THE HOUR. WHEN I FIRST SET UP THE TIME, IT CHIMED 2 MINUTES BEFORE THE HOUR, NOW IT CHIMES ABOUT 7 MINUTES BEFORE THE HOUR. I AM NOT REAL HAPPY WITH IT. PAUL BEVELS

This clock arrived with the glass dial cover cracked, and the chimes only work if the test button is pressed, not on the hour. The pendulum is not balanced. It does keep time, but not worth the money……Don’t buy it…..
