I spent a long time picking out a painting in their gold leaf collection and I’m glad I chose this one. First of all the gold leaf is really interesting. The brightness of the painting is affected by lighting and angles. The gold leaf makes it seem almost as if the painting itself is lighted. The artist who painted this is very talented. It’s simple yet there’s so much to it. It’s nicely proportioned and the gold leaf makes you appreciate the open areas. It’s hard to tell in their picture, but the small trees are in bloom in my painting with different shades of red leafs which is a nice touch because it adds more life to the painting. I love Japanese art and I’m glad I chose this painting.
